A Saudi Musical Celebration

The King Fahd Cultural Center , Riyadh,honored three of the symbols of the Saudi music industry in the “Cultural Tunes 2” event, which the center hosted, in the presence of a large audience exceeding the three thousand spectators , and the honor included prominent personalities. Siraj Omar and Dr. Abdul Rab Idris and the great poet Saad Al-Khuraiji, were all given the honor they deserve.

The ceremony included culture exhibitions , art and music, with the participation of a number of Saudi artists, like Abdul Rahman Al-Shomer, who presented a number of famous songs to the honored and the audience. The event was presented by the actor Abdul Aziz Al-Faraihi . The celebration was highlighted by the artists’ unique style of singing with the Oud. This was followed by a musical dialogue on stage with Dr. Abd al-Rab Idris, who enriched the audience with stories of his melodies , music, and stories.

The most important of which was his cooperation with the late Talal Maddah .He also referred to his meeting with Muhammad Abdel Wahhab, in addition to modern national works. The enjoyable conversation involved how music develops and interacts with “Vision 2030” that encouraged Saudi youth and proved their exceptional musical abilities.
